Do you talk to yourself while you paint? Sometimes I talk aloud, but there is always an internal dialogue in my head as well. Of course, we all have an internal dialogue. Sometimes it gets pushed to the back, but it is crucial that you consider your internal dialogue if you want to improve your painting.
This internal dialogue can change from day to day, and that it why it is so important that you practice positive thinking habits while you work. Try to focus on what you are doing more than the outcome, and use positive words when you observe what is happening on the canvas.
